EXCLUSIVE: Ghana striker Amoah on trials at Heracles after snubbing NAC Breda poor offer

GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report that Ghana striker Matthew Amoah has started trials with Dutch top-flight side Heracles Almelo after rejecting a poor offer from NAC Breda. The 32-year-old, who is a free agent, trained with his former club NAC at the start of the summer pre-season with the view of earning a contract.

He overly impressed by scoring more than 10 goals in trial matches but they could not offer him a contract that met his expectation.

Amoah has now decided to take his club search to rivals Heracles Almelo.

He will train there for three days before a decision is taken on his future with the club.

NAC technical director Jeffrey van As there is no budget to meet the expectation of the Ghanaian striker.

Amoah, who scored many goals for NAC Breda in pre-season friendlies, was not in the club squad for last Saturday's against Volendam.

This is because trainer Nebojsa Gudelj just wanted to play with players who have been signed.
