Anthony Annan has signed for 1860 Munich

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan has signed for German Bundesliga II side 1860 Munich on a two-season-contract as a free agent, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm. 

The club has unveiled him and he is expected to join their training camp in Marbella - Spain, after passing medicals.

Annan joins the former Bundesliga giants after ending his season's spell with Finnish giants HJK Helsinki where he helped them to win the league title and FA Cup.

1860's Sporting Director Gerhard Poschner hailed Annan's capture: "With Toni Annan we have a player committed to producing good defensive play and bring stability to the team. Our emerging young players are now in training camp and he will help  with his routine ball control and overview of the team players.

Annan returns to Germany after leaving giants Schalke 04 last season at the expiration of his contract with the Royal Blues.

The midfielder who is capped 64 times by Ghana has had spells with Vitesse Arhen, Osasuna, Rosenborg BK and Schalke 04.
