EXCLUSIVE: Ghana line-up Peru friendly in New York in September
Ghana are scheduled to play against Peru

Ghana have lined up a top international friendly against Copa American semi-finalist Peru in the United States in September, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

According to a top official of the Peruvian Football Federation, the Blanquirroja will play the Black Stars in the city New York where most Ghanaians living in the United States are based.

The match has been scheduled to be played on 8 September.

Peru officials says they have lined up the match against the Black Stars to help them prepare for the start of 2018 World Cup qualifiers in October.

"We have planned two games before the qualifiers and the matches will be against USA and Ghana," Santin told Radio Sport 890 in Uruguay.

If confirmed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA)  it will be the first time the two sides will play against each at the senior level.

Ghana are scheduled to play Rwanda in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kigali on 4 September.

This means it is possible for them to travel from Kigali to New York to face the Peruvians.
