Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda will stare from the bench in Orlando Pirates’ league game against Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday evening, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The first choice Black Stars goalkeeper only made his full competitive debut in last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Polokwane City.

Dauda was selected in that game ahead of regular Senzo Meyiwa who limped off in the previous match for the Bucs.

The South African goalkeeper has however been given the nod in Tuesday’s PSL game.

Dauda’s drop will be seen as a major setback in his bid to claim the first choice position for himself.

The 28-year-old has struggled for regular first team action since arriving from AshantiGold at the start of the season.

He however keeps getting assurances his time will come at the South African giants.

The guy is simply not good. Kwarasey is a world class goalkeeper and will be our #1. A great team like the Black Stars don’t need a mediocre goalkeeper like Dauda.Tweaaaaa…..

  2. sharky says:

Time is running out for Dauda. Kwarasey deserves to be in the post in the world cup for sure. If he doesn’t then that will be due to favoritism and nepotism..PERIOD!!

  3. Assemblyman says:

If he was this good as GNS was saying in the last article concerning him.I am sure,he would still have maintained the number 1 spot. After he was beaten by a goal in his last game. Its only in Ghana where because of bribery and corruption. We tend to praise a loosing champion..His club knows better which is why he is kept on the bench again and again!!

  4. Ogya says:

My advise to Fatau Dauda will be to return home to Ghana and try his luck with any of our 4th division teams like the Cape Coast venomous Vipers, Kumasi Cornerstone or maybe Accra Great Olympics to rebuild his career.

He needs to learn to be a goalkeeper first. Akwesi Appiah propped him up too early to thinking he is that good when infact he is just a below average keeper. To take Fatau to the world cup will be a great mistake that will cost Ghana a lot.

Adam Kwarasey should be our No1 Keeper for the worldcup, backed up by experience Richard Kingston and the satellite goalkeeper.

  5. Michael says:

thank God this dude talks to much. Let him prepare himself for the womens World Cup not Brazil .

  6. the truth says:

He wasn’t dropped, Their 1st choice goal keeper returned from his injury. Dauda was just given the opportunity to man the goal while the south African goal keeper heals

  7. Papadinho says:

AhahahahahahHHHaaahahahah wauw , hope AA is watching the new movement. Kwarasey must be laughing his ass off . Lol. This dude should forget about the WC. To me, Kwarasey, Adams and Agyei are those dudes!!
    Bless

    Steven Adams where r u …

  9. askantwi says:

That Keeper trainer dude, Yakubu, God go punish him for taking bribe from Dauda.

  10. WISEWORD says:

IF THIS MAN GOES TO WC GHANA IS DOOMED MARK MY WORDS..AAAAHHHH SO KWESIA APPIAH REALLY BELIVES THIS MAN CAN BLOCK SHOTS FROM CR7 OF PORTUGAL HAHAH LETS BE REAL MY BROTHERS WE WILL BE STUPID TO PUT THIS MAN IN GOAL WHEN WE HAVE A TOP CLASS KEEPER AS KWARASEY..I TELL YOU GHANA WILL WIN THE CUP IF KWARASEY IS IN GOALS COZ WE ALREADY HAVE A POWERFULL DEFENSE IT COMES NATURAL SO TO ACTUALLY HAVE A KEEPER LIKE KWARASEY WILL BE THE ICE’ING ON THE CAKE.
