EXCLUSIVE: Elche President to appear before court over transfer of Wakaso to Villareal
Wakaso joined Villareal in 2011 from Elche

Elche President Jose Sepulcre is set to appear before court to give evidence over a charge brought against the club for withholding portions of the transfer fee of Mubarak Wakaso from football agency JP Sports.

Elche is accused of sitting on 42.5 percent – due the agency - of the total transfer fee of the Ghana international in his move to Villareal in 2011.

Sepulcre will also have his day in court in the two-year law suit on November 27 at 9:30am local time in Elche to offer his testimony.

JP Sports are demanding payment of €680,000 from Elche – representing 42.5 percent of their economic retention in the player since his move from AshantiGold.

The football agency also claims they will have to pay an amount of €240,000 to the Ghana Premier League club as a mandatory payment for the development of the Ghana midfielder.

Wakaso will also appear before a law court in Scotland to give evidence over the case.

His hearing is being arranged in Scotland at his convenience since he now plays for Celtic – on loan from Russian club Rubin Kazan.
