Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah may have to consider replacing defender Daniel Opare in his squad to face Uganda in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers due to injury concerns.

Appiah has named the 23-year-old in his squad to face the Cranes of Uganda in next month's crucial qualifying opener at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

However, the former Real Madrid Castilla player, has been ruled out by FC Porto doctors and was left out of the Porto squad for their Uefa Champions League game on Wednesday night.

GHANAsoccernet.com checks can has confirmed the versatile full-back who can play at either sides of lateral defence, has not trained with the club for a couple of days and will require over ten days return to training.

Opare was a member of the Ghana squad that played at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
