Berekum Chelsea is on the verge of collapse

Ghanaian Premier League club Berekum Chelsea are on the verge of liquidation, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Berekum-based side are being targeted by a number of groups for a potential takeover due to their precarious financial situation.

Chelsea is a club going under with mounting financial stress crippling the once attractive side.

Their sorry state has been further heightened by the decision to auction their team bus to raise cash to help sustain the club.

For a club that reached the group phase of the CAF Champions League only two years ago, their  current story is one that has dumbfounded many.

Chelsea’s financial troubles has been attributed to the absence of club president Emmanuel Kyeremeh who is reported to have abandone his football dreams, Ghana’s leading football website can reveal.

Players are owed salarie and wages running into several weeks while there is no end in sight to the current embarrassing situation.

The club has been forced to sell many of their top players as they struggle to keep the side in the top-flight.
