Despite passing the rigorous two-stage medical tests in Khartoum and Dubai, Augustine Okrah's transfer to El Merreikh is hanging in the balance due to a deadlock on transfer figures.

According to Merreikh club sources, Okrah passed the medicals but Bechem United rejected a proposed re-negotiation of the transfer fee.

''Okrah passed the medicals but Merreikh were advised to give him enough rest for 4 weeks ahead of the Sudanese season opener which is around 10 weeks away. The only problem now is that Merreikh now want to review the agreed figures but Bechem United disagrees,'' said a Merreikh club official.

The source revealed that Oliver Arthur, the player's agent, has asked for the player to be flown back to Ghana if the deal is not finalized within 48 hours.

Bechem United, we understand, feel deeply disappointed that Merreikh now want to change figures and has asked for their player back if the agreed conditions don't stay.
