GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal that Ghana youth midfielder Ibrahim Moro has agreed a lucrative deal to join ambitious Kazakh side FC Kairat.

Sources have told Ghana’s leading football website that Moro’s current AIK Stockholm have reached a deal with the Kazakh side.

Moro’s contract will take effect on 01 January, 2015 after spending two years with the Swedish-based side.

According to reports in the local media, the younsgter is expected to be named in Ghana's provisional squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The former New Edubiase United player was impressive last season where he made 23 league appearances and scored two goals.

The 21-year-old was expected to join an elite European club after excelling in three seasons but the money involved swayed AIK.

AIK Stockholm Sports Director Bjorn Wesström admitted it was good business selling the hardworking midfielder to a small club in an obscure league.

“He has been a great player for AIK and now he also generate profits in each individual transaction,” Wesström said.

More moved to Sweden in August 2012 after scoring the winner which gave New Edubiase United a 1-0 win over AshantiGold in the final of the MTN Ghana FA Cup.

“AIK will always have a special place in my heart. Many thanks to all the wonderful supporters, players and officials who provided me with memories for life,” he said.

FC Kairat finished third last season and will play in the qualifying rounds of the 2015/2016 Europa League.
