The Black Stars have been boosted ahead of this Sunday’s World Cup qualifier after ex-stars visited the team’s training camp.
Former Ghanaian greats including CK Akunnor, Sammy Kuffuor, Augustine Arhinful and Anthony Baffoe were among old players who visited the team at their training camp in Accra.
The move by the former players is geared towards offering support to the team ahead of the must-win game at the Baba Yara stadium on March 24.
Many have craved for the involvement of ex-players in the affairs of the Black Stars following the medal-less showing of team at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ghanaians are desperate to qualify to their third successive world cup and therefore need all hands on deck to ensure they secure qualification from a tricky group.
Zambia lie top of the table, three more than the West African giants, making their qualification a bit more difficult.
Good Show!!! This should have been a “normal and constant attachment” and should have also been happening long ago!The tension, misunderstandings ,mobbing and “petty” quarrels among the players and also with the management could have been prevented! Let us hope this is not going to be a “oneday show”!
