Former Public Relations Officer of Asante Kotoko Listowell Yesu Bukarson has confirmed he will be contesting the parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party.

Bukarson who currently is the Ashanti Regional chairman of the Ghana Journalist Association aspires to become the new Member of Parliament for the Bulisa North Constituency in the Upper East Region.

The ex Asante Kotoko spokesman has already filed his nomination forms to contest the internal primaries of the NPP.

His campaign posters are fast circulating on social media platforms.

It will be recalled that Bukarson launched the Awaambe sports academy in Bulisa last year in a move which is now being considered as laying the foundation to launch his political ambitions.

Bukarson becomes the latest journalist to declare interest in running for political office on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party – following in the footsteps of former Joy FM Morning Show hosts Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

Mohammed Amin Lamptey has also declared a similar bid but on the ticket of the ruling NDC.

The incumbent MP for the Bulisa North constituency is the NDC’s James Agalga.
