Ex-Kotoko great Sarfo Gyamfi has labeled the current Hearts squad as ‘immature’ players.

The youngsters from the capital-based side put up a brave performance against the experienced-looking Asante Kotoko side during their derby clash last Sunday, in a game which they gallantly lost 1-0 at the Accra sports stadium.

The famous Kotoko victory in Accra has sparked widespread belief among many of their fans that they will be unstoppable this season with an array of stars at their disposal.

Hearts were without three of their experienced players- Moro Abubakar, Obed Ansah and Stephen Tetteh while new import Emmanuel Hayford also failed to recover in time for the fixture.

The 46-year-old, nicknamed ‘the black president’ admits Hearts have a promising team but bereft of matured players.

“Hearts is not bad side but they lack maturity in the team,” Gyamfi said

“Before the game I told my people there was no way Hearts could beat Kotoko with the kind of players they have.

“It will take time for them to be solid. They lack experienced players which is key in football.

“Most of our boys have been together for three years and naturally the cohesion and understanding will be there.

“But having said that Hearts have got a promising team but for now Kotoko will be unstoppable.”
