Norway-based striker Mahatma Otoo says he is not worried by Avram Grant's decision not to include him in his provisional Ghana squad for the 2015 AFCON tournament.Â
The 22-year-old could not earn a place in the former Chelsea boss' 31-man squad for the AFCON tournament unveiled earlier this week.
Otoo scored 9 times in 27 games for Sogndal FF - who are now relegated from the Norwegian Eliteserien after the end of the season.
But he did not find a space in Grant's front-line slots which Cambridge United's Kwesi Appiah managed to break through.
But the former Hearts of Oak hit-man who won the Ghana Premier League Golden Shoe Award in 2012/13 season says he is not perturbed.
"As a footballer you have to be ready for your National team, I think I did well for my club but the decision of inviting players into the National team depends on so many factors.
The Coach did not call me and am not worried I will keep on playing my football and I know one day I will be given the opportunity again," he told Sports Crusader.
"I have played for the Black Stars before so is something I want to do again because I always want to help my National team," he added.
Otoo is capped once at senior level by Ghana but had been consistent at youth level for the U20s and U23, captaining Ghana's Olympic team to win Gold at the 2011 All African Games.
