Ex Ghana defender Dan Quaye insists he is not retiring from football anytime soon on his return to the country after stints in Asia.

The 33-year-old is currently training with Ghana Premier League club Inter Allies but is yet to sign officially for the Tema-based club.

Quaye is now a free agent having completed hi9s contracted with his last official club Beijing Baxy.

The ex Hearts of Oak star is thought by many to be a dead horse who is no longer able to compete at the highest level.

But Quaye who was part of Ghana’s squad at the 2006 World Cup in Germany says retirement has not even crossed his mind as he has more to offer.

“I am still playing the football,” he told Asempa FM.

“I have no intention of retiring now because I feel I have more to offer.

“For me, the more you play, the more experience you get.

“I am very strong and can still be competitive at the highest level.”

Quaye has played for eight different clubs over a 17-year professional career.

He is best remembered for his exploits with Hearts of Oak where he stayed for nine years and won the CAF Champions League, Super Cup and Confederations Cup with the Phobians.
