Ex-Hearts of Oak playmaker, Charles Taylor says black magic destroys the careers of football talents, claiming it does not play a key role in the game

Taylor claims black magic, popularly known as ‘juju’ plays a key role in destroying the careers of many football talents.

The former Asante Kotoko striker is another story of an immense talent who failed to live up to expectations due to many off-field issues.

He claims the use of charm is significantly present in modern day football and has accounted for the destruction of several talents in the West African country,” the 33-year-old revealed on Dunkwa-On-Offin-based Solar Fm.

‘If anybody says ‘juju’ plays football, it is not true. ‘Juju is not a part of football. However, it can be used to destroy a footballer’s career. If truly ‘juju’ plays football, then certain countries noted for their prowess in black magic business would be ruling world football by now but that is not what we are seeing,’ he sarcastically said.

Asked whether he suspects that his former club Hearts of Oak placed a curse on his career following the manner in which his move to Kotoko was done, the ex-talismanic striker was quick to say that it is not for him to say because it is clear.

‘In respect of this, I am not the best person to say this because you all know it’, he revealed.

The former Asante Kotoko and Etoile Du Sahel deadly hitman also disclosed that he was working hard to secure a move abroad to continue with his career.

‘I am still training very well and we are working out to secure a move abroad. I don’t want to play in the local league again’, the free agent hinted.
