Ex-Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has hailed the exploits of winger Frank Acheampong at Anderlecht and has tipped him for greatness.

The Ghana Under-20 star continued his blistering form for the Belgian giants when he scored for the second week running in Anderlecht’s 3-0 win over newly-promoted side Waasland-Beveren on Sunday.

The 19-year-old has stepped up to the big plate with sublime performances which continue to earn rave reviews in Belgium and the ex-international is thrilled with the progress of the youngster.

“I am very happy for him because he has been amazing since he joined the club,’ Lamptey told Radio XYZ

“When I took him to Anderlecht I asked them to take a closer look at him and after only four months, they signed him to a long-term deal.

“Give him the next two years and I tell you he will be snapped up one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

“He is young and has many years ahead of him. I have no doubt in my mind that he will excel and make it to the top.”

Acheampong has exceeded expectations since joining the Belgian giants in January on an initial loan deal  from Thai Premier League club Buriram United.

The Ghana U20 star subsequently signed a permanent deal at the end of the season for a Thai record fee of 1 million euros.
