Kwadwo Asamoah has been tipped to excel at Juventus

By Patrick Akoto

Ex-Ghana international Sammy Kuffuor is confident Kwadwo Asamoah will be a big hit at Juventus.

The 23-year-old ended the speculation surrounding his future by agreeing to join the Italian Champions in a deal reported to be in the region of £7 million.

English giants Manchester United chased the Ghana international for many weeks until he opted to stay in Italy.

There are many who believe the industrious midfielder could have enhanced his career better if he had opted for the Old Trafford outfit.

But the former Bayern Munich defender insists he made the right choice.

“It’s a great chance, a great opportunity for him to excel again,” Kuffuor said

“It’s a good decision because he knows exactly what he wants, as he’s not a little boy anymore.

“He was young when he went there (Udinise) and has developed a tremendously as player.

“Man United will be a great opportunity but Italy is not bad for him, he has been at Udinise for a long time.

“I think they are the same level if you compare the achievements. There is no difference between Juventus and Man United.

“Juventus are among the 8 or 10 top teams in the world so I think he made the right choice,”

I think this Kwadwo will be better player if he works a bit harder. Sometimes he seems to be the laziest midfielder in the football industry. I sometimes I ask myself is this guy a left footer?

Thank you for not joining Man U cos you will always be a bench warmer. Ferguson don’t like Africans, period.

CONGRATS. HE IS WEARING THE NUMBER 5 JERSEY. JUVE WILL PLAY HIM IN DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD. I HOPE HE PLAYS UPFRONT N THREATENS MORE GOALS.
