Ex-Ghana international Godwin Attram has urged returning foreign-based players to reject criticism to sign for local clubs.

Attram, a former Ghana Under-17m star is among high profile players who have returned to wow the domestic scene.

Together with veteran goalkeeper Richard Kingson and defender Dan Quaye, they have been instrumental in the transformation of the Wonder Club so far.

Attram has urged players who are struggling for regular playing time abroad to reject the criticism and return home.

“I want to tell them not to be discouraged by the taunts from the fans,” said.

“They should just forget about the insults and whatever because whatever be the case, there will always be critics.

“You only have to focus on the game.”

A number of foreign-based Ghanaian players are reluctant to return to their native country for fear of being criticized by the local media.
