Ex-international goalkeeper Ali Jarrah has hailed Fatau Dauda’s performance in recent times and praised him for his professionalism during a turbulent period that saw him lose his position in the Black Stars.

Dauda, who has looked sharper in the last couple of games for AshantiGold, is getting back to his best.

He pulled off saves to deny red-hot Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure during a high-profile friendly.

The former Orlando Pirates glovesman followed that up with another splendid display against New Edubiase where he kept a valuable clean sheet to ensure AshGold won the Adansi Cup.

Dauda now look sharper and confident with his aerial command and Jarrah says the goalkeeper deserves credit for his mental toughness.

“Dauda has been great since his return to Ghana, it’s no easy decision to decide you want to come home to revive your career but he has done it and is getting games again,” Jarah told GHANASoccernet.com

“His problem has never been his technique it was his lack of games that disrupted him a bit but it seems he is mentally strong and is slowing getting back what he has lost.”
