Former Ghana Football Association boss Nyaho-Tamakloe has descended heavily on the Black Stars foreign-based players describing them as “useless” after their Nations Cup semi-final defeat.
But the acid-tongue football administrator and politician singled out the Ayew brothers-Jordan and Andre-for praise after questioning their commitment levels.
Tamakloe says he was not surprised by the team’s inability to qualify to final of the tournament for the second successive time.
“The Black Stars’ loss does not come me as a surprise. Apart from the Ayew brothers (Dede and Jordan) who performed exceptionally well, all the players are useless,” Tamakloe is quoted by Joy News.
The former Hearts of Oak chairman wants more locally-based players to be drafted into the Black Stars team.
Ghana were beaten 1-0 by Zambia at the Estadio de Bata on Wednesday night.
