Ex-Ghana defender Tony Baffoe voted Happy FM Ghana Sports Fans Personality of the Year

FIFA Match Commissioner Tony Baffoe has been voted the Ghana Sports Fans Personality of the Year which was organized by a local station Happy FM.

Ex-Ghana defender polled more votes athlete Martha Bissah (Youth Olympic Gold medalist) and undefeated boxer Brimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku.

Baffoe made been making strides in world football since retiring from football and was the match commissioner for the 2014 FIFA World Cup final between Germany and Argentina.

Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson was adjuged the best Ghana Premiership Player of the Year.

He beat off competition from Hearts of Oak defender Owusu Bempah, New Edubiase’s Asiedu Attobrah and last season’s goalking and MVP Augustine Okrah, formerly of Bechem United.

Teenager Martha Bisssah won the Athlete of the Year for winning gold at the World Youth Olympic Games in the 800m.

Boxer of the Year went to Kamoko who saw off competition from Joshua Clottey and Richard Commey.

This was the second time an award was being put together by the renowned radio station.
