Ex Ghana captain Stephen Appiah remains adamant he will go into coaching despite the increasing demands of the job.
The 33-year-old has completed parts of his coaching badges in Europe but is yet to practice his acquired knowledge.
Some ex Ghanaian footballers have enjoyed relative success since venturing into coaching after hanging up their boots.
Ex Players such as Tanko Ibrahim and Otto Addo are gradually gaining recognition on the world stage with their work with Cameroon and Hamburg respectively.
Others such as Kwesi Appiah, Maxwell Konadu and Yaw Preko are also doing their bid on the international level with the various Ghanaian national teams.
Some have however encountered misfortune, as they have not been as successful as their peers.
Coaches get their fair share of harsh criticisms and even insults from the ever-demanding fans when the desired results fail to come.
Coaches nowadays also get ruthlessly fired by their employers when things don’t go well while others get ridiculed by indiscipline players.
This has made coaching unattractive in some aspects.
But Appiah insists it is what he wants to do despite fears of the increasingly difficult terrain with the belief he has the understanding to handle stubborn players.
“My Lord, yes, I will go into coaching,†he told the Presidential Commission.
“I think it is the way you handle your players,â€
“Each of the 25 players have different egos so it is about how you manage the players.â€
