Ex Hearts of Oak defender Sam Johnson predicts an even tougher time for the team despite the appointment of C.K Akunnor as coach.
Akunnor, 38, was brought in as replacement for Serbian Nebojsa Vucicevic who was sacked following a string of poor results.
But the former Ghana captain started his career off as head coach of the Premier League giants to the worst possible start with a home defeat to city rivals Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
And his former national teammate, Johnson says Akunnor must fight against the already in-place order if he wants to succeed.
ââ¬ÅIt is not going to be easy for him (Akunnor) at all,â⬠he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.
ââ¬ÅThere are a lot of people there who want to control him and I would be happy if he could stand strong and fight for his right as a coach.
ââ¬ÅThere are some people in the time who will always be in the team and they are the ones causing all the problems.ââ¬
The defeat to Liberty now sees the Phobians drop to fourth on the Premier League table withà a whooping 12-pointsà differenceà behind leaders Asante Kotoko with nine matches to go.
