Ex-Ghana defender Joe Addo says the Black Stars will drive the full benefits of playing Turkey ahead of next month's final Group D Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier.

Ghana take on their European opponents on Wednesday night in Istanbul to sharpen their arsenals for the September 6 assignment.

The two-time World Cup finalists lead the table with one point and can advance to the final phase of the qualifiers.

Addo believes Kwesi Appiah and his charges could not have preparing for the crucial match any better than playing high-profile Turkey.

"This is big because it is a prelude to the Zambia game and all Ghanaians are looking forward to how this team is going to perform," Addo told Joy sports.

"I’m hoping they put up a good show, not necessarily to win but build a strong force for that crucial game in September.

"The Turkish national team are no minnows, they are very strong so the Black Stars playing them is not an easy task at all so I’m hoping we play well for Ghanaians to have confidence in the team ahead of the Zambia game."
