Ex-Marseille cum Barcelona striker Sonny Anderson has hailed the mentality of Ghana striker Jordan Ayew.

Ayew has shaken off his early disappointment by showing his prowess up front for struggling French side Sochaux in recent weeks.

The Ghanaian international scored and provided assist for the side as they coasted to 2-0 win ovr Toulouse in the French top-flight over the weekend and Anderson has been impressed with the work ethics of the youngster.

"He (Jordan Ayew) lacks experience but has managed his career over time," Anderson, who also played for Barcelona is quoted by  La Provence.

"Jordan is a young player who has a lot of desire, who does not like losing, he always wants to win, and that is character. I believe he will be a great player with such a winning attitude."

"However, he becomes disappointed when he misses an action. I think the loan may allow him to win this maturity as well."

The youngest son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele joined Sochaux from Marseille in January in a bid to force his way into the Black Stars ahead of the World Cup.
