Ex-Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has expressed his delight after making a winning debut for newly-promoted Russian side UFA who shocked Krasnodar in Sunday's league match.

The Ghana international joined UFA on at the end of last month but was unable to play for the side until Sunday's though match against Krasnodar.

Frimpong came on as a substitute as they stunned Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League action to claim a 2-0 win at the Kuban Stadium.

The Ghanaian who came on in the second-half to mark his debut for the newly promoted side was delighted with their victory dedicating the victory to their hard work.

"Great 2-0 win to Krasnodar well done boys", Frimpong wrote on Twitter after helping his side to the shock victory over the well-established Russian top-flight side.

Krasnodar suffered the unexpected 2-0 home defeat at the hands of newly-promoted Ufa.

Brazilian midfielder Marcinho put Ufa in front in the seventh minute as he hammered the ball past goalkeeper Andrei Sinitsyn from just inside the area.

Defender Pavel Alikin added the second in the 53rd minute redirecting Marcinho's freekick into the net.
