Michael Essien upbeat of Madrid's chances against United
Ghana midfielder Michael Essien is confident of Real Madrid’s chances against Manchester United in the Champions League.
The two European giants clash in the first leg of their mouth-watering Champions League Round of 16 tie on Wednesday night.
Los Blancos go into Wednesday’s game at the Santiago Bernabeu with an inferior domestic form.
Essien who made a switch from the Premier League to Spain at the beginning of the season is however upbeat 0f his side’s chances against the in-form United team.
“Our confidence is high and we are looking forward to Wednesday’s game against a great side like Manchester United, but we will do our best and hopefully we will win,” he said.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian revives his personal rivalry against the team he supported as a child on Wednesday.
