Esperance defender Afful helps Ghana with Tunisia tips

Posted On Friday, 3rd February 2012

Esperance defender Harrison Afful has given Ghana tips on how good Tunisia is ahead of the epic Nations Cup quarter final tie on Sunday.

The Black Stars must beat the Carthage Eagles in Franceville to keep their ambition of winning a fifth African title after 30-years on track.

Afful who is in his third season in Tunisian and is not part of Ghana’s squad at the Nations Cup however seeks to help his nation by giving a vivid description on the playing style of the North Africans.

“They have a good team and they always like to keep the ball,” he said.

“They also have some great individual players especially the number 7 (Youssef Msakni) he is one of the key players.
“They are also dangerous when it comes to attacking.”

Ghana has looked less convincing during the group stages but managed to qualify to the knockout round as winners of Group D.

They will however have to up their game if their to make anymore progress in the tournament starting with a victory over a quick and skillful Tunisia side coached by ex international Sami Trabelsi.

This guy is very good but he doesn’t get called from GFA because he doesn’t want pay bribe to GFA. I like him because he wants GFA to call him by merit not any dubious means. Oga Nyantakyi and co please stop that. You are already a rich man.

  2. Am gonna assure you afful that Ghana will kick Tunisia’s ass so hard that the name Blackstars will be a Doom song for them. They have their number 7 n we also have our number 10. ALL HAIL THE BLACKSTARS.

    • Musah Fifa says:

is because the FA doesn’t like the boy, Adam Kwarasey was there by majority of Ghanaians who want him, but FA doesn’t like him, so is still in their mind they want to send him out by all-means, if not why his oun coach come out and said his weak points? is there any sense on that?

  20. Kuuku, Berlin says:

This is the “famous adage”, “To be free to talk ones’ mind is very good, but it carries a lot of responsibility with it !”. The monkey says , he is not annoyed with the hunter who shot him, but rather annoyed with the one who carried his body, parading him and letting all know that he has been shot!. Such people like the the GSN writer, Eddie Ansah and other people who keep revealing the weaknessess and shortcomings of the individual BS players publicly and on this forum, are those who cause the most harm (perhaps unknowingly ??).I don’t know the agenda Eddie Ansah is following, but to give out such important details about our No.1 goalkeeper (at the moment)smacks a bit of irresponsibility!!! on his part. The psychological state of mind of the players don’t belong here on this forum, neither does it belong on any other public forum. I won’t like to duell further on this topic, because that would worsen this case further. Like i said freedom of speech and ideas is very good, but it carries a lot of responsibility with it !!! A coach who discusses his training and strategy in public eeeiihh!!!!where have we landed ????

  21. A col guy says:

The best tips for the BS are as follows @ They must play our brand of soccer by slowing down a bit and keeping the ball. North African countries are fast and therefore we must slow down but must be sharp in counter attack. @BS must try to capture the midfield. I think Annan and Agyemang Badu can hold them in check. Inkoom 3 because Massawudu’s inexperience and Paintsil at 3 but if he fails to close mark his marker then they must risk to bring Dan Opare. John Boye should pair John Mensah [i wish Vorsah could play 2]. Derick Boateng can be the third person in the midfield to link the defense and the attack for free flow soccer. Andre Ayew should play at the wings to avoid been heckled down unnecessarily. Kwadwo Asamoah should play behind Asamoah Gyan. Asa should take heart because they will frustrate him by knocking him down and should not over react to attract red card. He should maintained his composure to avoid off side traps. He should be alert to take all his chances. He can also strike from the left wing or right wing to avoid obstructions . Kwarasey’s confidence is growing and he will perform very well at this stage. G.F.A go to their dressing room and motivate them with heavy cash bonuses. Fans must pray without ceasing till the final whistle to avoid some kind of “Suarez” Go go go BS for the Gold

  22. A col guy says:

    Correct Paintsil at no.2 position
