Mubarak Wakaso will be sold for the right price.

Espanyol president Joan Collet insists the club will transfer midfielder Mubarak Wakoso for the right price.

The Spanish La Liga side last week announced they had turned down a 4.5 million euro bid from an unnamed European club for the Ghana international.

Espanyol say they will only sell the hard-working midfielder for a fee in excess of 8 million euros.

English Premier League Swansea were reported to have submitted an offer but the club's head coach Michael Laudrup came out to squash reports linking them to the player.

"We have no intention of transferring Wakaso if the offer is not very good and very good means a lot more than what we have received so far," Collet said.

"I have told the player and his agent."

Wakaso has been a subject of transfer speculation after shinning at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations where he finished joint-top scorer.
