Eric Bekoe issues Asante Kotoko warning

Bekoe pledges to score against Asante Kotoko for Chelsea

By Ameenu Shardow

Newly signed Berekum Chelsea striker Eric Bekoe says he will show no sympathy when playing against Asante Kotoko.

The 25-year-old inked a two-year deal on Tuesday to become Chelsea’s big name signing this off-season.

Bekoe’s move follows a botched attempt to rejoin the Porcupine Warriors following the termination of his contract with Egyptian club Petroject.

And despite maintaining his love and admiration for Kotoko upon joining Chelsea, the ex Heart of Lions hitman insists he will work assiduously to the satisfaction of his new employers even if it takes punishing his boyhood club.

“When it comes to my work, I know no sympathy. I have been paid to work and therefore there is no room to play it soft against any side including Kotoko,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“I have always scored against Kotoko whenever I play against them and I think that trend will continue to make sure the investments being made in me by Chelsea is well rewarded.

“My relationship with Kotoko for now will be on a professional basis since I am now with Chelsea but there is no doubt whatsoever that I am and will always remain a Kotoko supporter but for now I am focused on helping Chelsea beat any team.”

Iam glad the old horse never stayed with Kotoko

  2. Paapa says:

I wish him good luck. I’m however very surprised. This is a guy who claim to have rejected supposedly many lucrative contructs and has even forgone a greater percentage of his contruct sum with petroject all for the love of kotoko. When I heard him speak, I felt he was going to play for the porcupines free of charge and all for the love of kotoko. His too wide-opened mouth has betrayed him. No trade, including football is a hubby. A professional plies his trade for money. I didn’t feel any professionalism in him when I heard him speak on Angel Fm online. His very cocky attitude will always bring him back as it brought him back from Egypt. I hope he did not take any monies from the supporters. He shouldn’t forget the Borteys, Taylors and the Dan Quayes. He even has the temerity to issue warnings to Kotoko. The impudence of a cacroach. Ignoremus!!!!!!!

  3. BLOW says:

sad that uor deal with kotoko couldnt materialise but all de same we wish u good luck @ b.chelsea. kotoko fans shud understand the stance taken by our mgt cos they knew wat was gud n went for it,let all back them in our quest for laurels this yr n beyond, for the materials @ hand if managed well can go places, but a caution to bekoe, play proffessionally n safe n dont b dismayed with the botched contractural agreement with kotoko, cos fotballing career is like a mary go round, ask alex asamoah, ofori quaye, kweku essien, baffour gyan etc, they all went out bt came back to play again for their mother clubs, long serving stephen oduro was transferred this season but havnt heard him issue warnings n innuendos to kototko y?cos he know for sure that one day,he will come back n serve in a different capacity, advice uorself n let proffesionalism b the key, dont let uor move to b.chelsea b like u n kotoko r enemies, all the best.

  5. Terror says:

This guy is just beggining to annoy me. You follow money and use tricks to go to Brekum and you wont even keep quiet. Talking all over the place like this is not going to serve you any good Bekoe, you can ask your forebearers; Taylor, Bortey etc. Kotoko is not a club like your Brekum, Kotoko is a Religion, an Institution and a giant conglomerate. Dont try and create an enemy out of it because you wont survive its might and force. Just be quiet and enjoy your money from Brekum while it lasts.

  6. Keep quiet eric bekoe and your ball

  7. Eric Bekoe keep quiet and play your football
