English Premier League giants Liverpool have renewed their interest in signing Ghana winger Andre Ayew from Olympique Marseille, according to reports.
Brendan Rodgers - the Liverpool manager, has kept tabs on the 24-year-old and is prepared to make a bid for him in August.
Ayew is likely to leave the Stade Velodrome after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and Liverpool want to bring him to Anfield as they prepare to return to Europe next season.
A host of top-flight European sides have declared interest in the Black Stars winger but Marseille's hierarchy have always demanded more than what the clubs offer with President Vincent Vabrune insisting clubs always undervalue the winger in their bids.
But Liverpool are keen on making a successful bid for the player as Rodgers wants to bring the son of the African footballer legend to join his prolific attacking trident - Luiz Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has also watched him in the past.
