Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu could land up at Liverpool in January.

English giants Liverpool are chasing Udinese’s Ghana internnational midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu as Brendan Rodgers draws up his list of January targets.

Reds boss Rodgers is desperate to bring in a handful of new players in the new year, having recently bemoaned the club’s lack of depth.

And while adding another full-back remains a clear priority, Liverpool are also in need of a natural defensive midfielder, and Ghanaian Agyemang-Badu is a new target.

The 23-year-old is rising star in Serie A and has been personally recommended to Rodgers by his European scouts.

Liverpool have been informed of the player’s desire to play in the Premier League, and are now planning a £7million bid.

Agyemang-Badu can play in both midfield and defence, meaning he would provide valuable cover as Rodgers’ men chase Champions League football.

Arsenal and Tottenham have both previously scouted the player, who is famed for his powerful and aggressive approach.

Agyemang-Badu, who can play in both midfield and defence, has made 11 Serie A appearances for Udinese this term.

He came close to signing for Stoke City during the summer transfer.

    When will you guys stop this cheap propaganda? You did the same bullshit linking out of form inkoom and badu to lyon and host of premier league clubs last year. What the heck is badu going to do with Liverpool? This dude has been struggling for a playing time with average team like udinese. I’ll be happy as a ghanaian is he can make it to Liverpool but honestly he doesn’t have the quality to interest Liverpool. They’ve bunch of average players like him badu in the championship and the reserve team which will be much cheaper and familiar to the English game if the story is anything to by#payolajournos

    @ real Sabacious,other credible websites are also reporting this very same story so there could be an element of truth in it. I will equally be very excited to see him playing regularly for liverpool.

  3. Jaja says:

    @Benny boy. Sabacisou is right, I’ve been following him for a long time and Udinese doesn’t consider him a starting player. He warms the bench alot, and doesn’t get high ratings when coming on. I’d be rather happy if he stayed and fought for a starting berth rather than move to Liverpool where the competition will be even tougher.

    @sabacious, i agree with you.
