Ghanaian midfielder Ema Boateng has expressed delight at David Accam's move to American Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire but says Helsingborg will miss the Black Stars attacker. 

Chicago Fire officially announced the signing of the 24-year-old on Friday but failed to reveal any details of the contract.

The attacker leaves Helsingborg where he played two seasons with together with Ghanaian compatriot Ema Boateng who is also from the same football academy with Accam in Ghana.

Boateng has expressed delight about Accam's move and says Helsingborg will miss the gifted the Ghana international attacker.

"He was a key player in our campaign last year so I feel like we will miss him, but at the same time, I'm happy for him he got this transfer that he's been chasing for a while," he told GHANAsoccerent.com.

In a post on Facebook, Boateng hilariously said Accam is going to miss his tight tackles at training when the season starts.

"David [congratulations] on your transfer man. I'm sure you are really [going] to miss these tackles in training," he posted on his Facebook account.

Boateng is seen as the player to replace at Accam at Helsingborg as he is cherished for his quality in attacking midfield.
