Elvis Manu has signed a new contract at Feyenoord

Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Elvis Manu has signed a two-year-contract extension for Dutch Eredivisie giants Feyenoord Rotterdam, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm. 

The 21-year-old has committed himself to a new contract and will remain at the Stadion Feijenoord until 2017 despite massive interest from German clubs.

Feyenoord engaged Manu and his representatives in talks for a over six weeks before he finally committed himself to further years at the club last week.

Manu has been at Feyenoord since age 11 and progressed through the ranks at the clubs.

The attacker returned to the club at the start of the season after spending the previous season with Cambuur and helping them to remain in the Dutch top-flight.

Since his return from loan, Manu has been influential in both domestic and European competition, scoring important goals and providing assists.

He is currently out with a groin problem and doctors at the club are hoping to get him fit for Feyenoord's clash with PSV Eindhoven.
