Opoku Agyemang will not be moving to Egyptian side Al Ahly
Egyptian giants Al Ahly have dropped interest in signing Ghana striker Opoku Agyemang after the player failed to honour a trial invitation.
The 23-year-old was expected in Cairo last November to be assessed by the club but the appointment was delayed until this week.
But the player’s persistent refusal to show up has led the African champions to state they no longer interested in his services.
Ahly, who have room to sign a foreigner, had targeted to sign the former Al Sadd player.
The Reds parted company with Brazilian Fabio Junior before loaning out Oussou Konan to Saudi Arabia’s Hajr.
Mauritania’s Dominique da Silva, who is the only non-Egyptian on board in the meantime, is on the verge of being offloaded as well.
