Egypt striker Amr Zaki has assured the Egyptian fans not to worry about playing against Ghana in the play-off stage, confident they will defeat the Black Stars to qualify for the World Cup.
The Black Stars were drawn on Monday to play Egypt in a two-legged decider for the tournament to be held in Brazil next year.
Ghana will host Egypt in the first match in Kumasi in October before they play in Cairo in November after the draw paired them on Monday.
Despite the worries among Egyptian fans that they could be eliminated by Ghana, Zaki insists they will triumph over the West Africans.
“As a team and as fans we should not worry of playing against Ghana . They too know how much we are a tough team plus we played against them many times before and we beat them. Yes they are a very strong team but I am sure that we can handle them again” Zaki told supersport.com.
“With Bob Bradley at the helm we didn’t lose any matches at home in the World Cup African qualifications plus we will play the second match at home in front of our fans and that is very good for us” he added.
“The clash will be very classy between two very good teams and we will make Africa proud” Zaki ended.
