Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Clive Barker says the addition of Ghanaian midfielder Edwin Gyimah to his squad is one of a few key signings in preparation for the next season in the South African top-flight.
Gyimah joined AmZayoni on loan from SuperSport United.
He is understood to have fallen out of the grace of Matsatsantsa coach Cavin Johnson.
ââ¬ÅHe will definitely have an impact next season,â⬠said Barker. ââ¬ÅWe are trying to make sure that we not only build a strong squad for the PSL but a winning team. I think we had a great season last season, and the only way to better that is by improving our game and obviously winning our games.ââ¬
Gyimah joined Matsatsantsa back in 2011 from Ghanaian club Wa All Stars, and only made his international debut a year later.
He has been linked with a possible move to Europe, with Turkey being the likely destination, but the deal is understood to have crashed and Gyimah will be spending yet another season with a PSL side.
ââ¬ÅI am happy with how the team looks now,â⬠added Barker, â⬠and we hope for a much better season.ââ¬
