Edubiase duo to miss Diables Noir return tie

New Edubiase United will be without duo Asiedu Attobrah and Ebenezer Ofori

Ghana’s CAF Confederations Cup campaigners New Edubiase United will be without influential duo of Ebenezer Ofori and Asiedu Attobrah for their return-leg tie against side Diables Noir. 

Midfielder Ofori is on the trip with Ghana U20 to Italy while captain Asiedu Attobrah is suspended for going AWOL.

Attobrah, 18, has been slapped with an indefinite ban for going AWOL after the unimpressive 1-0 win over the Brazzaville-based side.

But club President Abdul Salam Yakubu is sure his side will not suffer from the absence of the duo.

“Attobrah and Isaac Ofori will not be going for the return leg but we’ve equally good players to do the job,” he told Accra-based Happy FM.

An Alhassan Nuhu first-half header gave the debutants a 1-0 win over the Congolese at the Accra Sports Stadium.
