Ebola scare hits Kotoko after drawing Sierra Leonean club East End Lions in Champions League
Kotoko will face East End Lions in Champions League

Asante Kotoko players are in danger of getting infected with the deadly Ebola virus when they play Sierra Leonean side East End Lions in the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League.

The Porcupine Warriors will travel to Freetown for the first fixture in February before playing the return leg at home.

Sierra Leone is one of the African countries which has been ravaged by the deadly virus forcing authorities to ban football activities over the last couple of months.

It is uncertain whether Kotoko will travel to the country or if they will request for a change of venue from the Confederation of African Football to honour the Champions League game.

The deadly Ebola virus has claimed thousands of lives on the African continent with Liberia the most affected.
