Ebenezer Assifuah returned to action for FC Sion

Ghana youth attacker Ebenezer Assifuah finally took the field for the first time since the start of the season as he came off the bench to play for FC Sion against FC Basel in the Swiss Super League on Saturday. 

Assifuah missed Sion's pre-season campaign, aggravated the ankle injury in August, leaving him to spending a lengthy spell in the treatment room.

Last weekend, the former FIFA U20 World Cup Golden Shoe Award winner return to Sion's starting line-up but he was unused by manager Jochen Dries.

However, the story got good for the 21-year-old as he climbed off the bench in the 70th minute to replace Senegalese Moussa Konate in the 70th minute.

Konate had scored first for Sion early in the first-half before Basel fought back to equalise.
