Ghana youth forward Ebenezer Assifuah is highly motivated to follow in the footsteps of Ballon D'or winner Cristiano Ronaldo after meeting the Portuguese at the 2013 FIFA Awards Gala in Zurich.

The 20-year-old who plays for Swiss side FC Sion, was invited to the event by the International Federation of Football Association - FIFA, following his outstanding performance in the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup that saw him win the Golden Shoe Award.

Ronaldo was crowned the world's best footballer of the season after beating Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Franck Ribery to the award after notching 69 goals last season.

And, the Liberty Professionals product is already feeling motivated after meeting up Ronaldo at the gala.

"He's a great player obviously and the world's best now. Surely I want to play like him one day," he said.

Following his extraordinary performance for Ghana in Turkey, the powerful striker moved to Switzerland where he has scored twice for FC Sion in the Swiss Super League - one against FC Basel.
