Dwarfs Chairman defends Bismark Asiedu sale

Ebusua Dwarfs Chairman Nana Aidoo has launched a passionate defence of his decision to sell captain Bismark Asiedu.

The workaholic offensive midfielder has agreed a two-year deal with the Mauves and Yellows after both parties concluded negotiations.

The University of Cape Coast graduate was targeted by giants Hearts of Oak but opted to join the Tarkwa-based side.

Some fans have sharply criticized the decision to part ways with one of their prized asset but club chairman Nana Aidoo insists they allowed him to leave in his best interest.

“I heard he had granted an interview on radio that he wanted to leave. We have a policy of not infringing on the ambitions of any player,” Aidoo said

“It is better to have players who are fully committed and ready to give 100%. When a player expresses desire to leave, you can’t force him to stay on,”

“We are very much interested in the collective welfare of the player.”

Asiedu was Dwarfs second top scorer with four goals.

He becomes the second high profile player to leave the club after defender Rashid Sumaila sold to Kotoko on a season-long loan.
