Duncan claims Kingston is best Ghanaian playmaker

Hearts coach David Duncan claims no player in the current Black Stars set-up can match-up the playemaker role of Laryea Kingston.

The 32-year-old was at his defining best for Hearts of Oak in their pulsating goalless draw game at arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The former Hapoel Tel Aviv man is being backed many including veteran trainer JE Sarpong to get a sensational recall into the national  team ahead of the continental showpiece in South Africa.

Ghana can boast of an array of playmakers like Kwadwo Asamoah, Derek Boateng and Andre Ayew but the former Ashantigold and Free State Stars trainer insists Kingston’s playmaker role is unrivaled.

“I have sat down and looked at the national team for a long time and to be honest with you there is no player in the current set-up that can match-up the playmaker role of Laryea Kingston,” Duncan told Accra-based Happy FM

“I must be honest with you. I’m not part of Black Stars technical team but I believe they should look in his direction.

“He has everything including leadership.

Kingston has been craving for a return to the international stage.
