DR Congo striker Mbokani tips Ghana for 2013 Nations Cup title

DR Congo striker Dieumerci Mbokani says Ghana are the favourites to win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Belgium-based attacker says the Black Stars have got the quality players to win Africa's flagship tournament which will be played in South Africa next month.

Mbokani will face the Black Stars in Group B of the competition on 20th January and admits facing the four-time champions will be tough.

"Next year's African Cup is going to be tough, especially when you play against a team like Ghana," he said.

"Ghana is a strong team and they win the tournament. Nigeria and Cote D' Ivoire are also a threat but I'll bet on Ghana."

Despite tipping Ghana to win the competition, Mbokani says they will be eyeing a victroy over Ghana when they clash ion Group B's opener.

"But I hope we play well against them and surprise them when we meet."

The 27-year-old signed a contract with Anderlecht for a reported fee of €3 million last season from AS Monaco.

Mbokani is one of DR Congo's key players for as he has been in excellent form for Anderlecht over the past few seasons.
