Champions Asante Kotoko welcome Yahaya Mohammed to their squad ahead of Wednesday's local derby against King Faisal.

Mohammed has been cleared to return to the Kotoko squad after missing last Sunday's 2-0 defeat at AshantiGold due to suspension.

The return of the former OGC Nice versatile player will serve as a real boost to the squad ahead of their must-win game against the city rivals.

Midfielder Richard Mpong, also suspended for Kotoko's last match, and Michael Akuffo are available for selection.

Kotoko have blown hot and cold in recent times with a sloppy performance that seen them lose three times in the top-tier this term.

Coach Mas-Ud Dramani is beginning to feel the heat with arch-rivals Hearts of Oak keeping a close tap on the title race.

Kotoko are now just a point above Hearts and must rediscover their form as quickly as possible to either maintain their lead or increase the point build-up.

But they face a tricky King Faisal side which has been impressive in their last three outings.

The cash-strapped neighbours have won their last two home games in impressive fashion; beating Aduana Stars 2-0 and accounting for New Edubiase 3-1 at the Baba Yara stadium.

The performance followed their 1-1 draw at local giants Hearts of Oak but still find themselves locked up 11th on the table.
