Derek Boateng's move to Fulham in danger over Dnipro's demands
Derek Boateng’s move to Fulham is on the verge of collapse due to the huge financial demands of his Ukrainian club Dnipro.
Dnipro are said to be demanding between £10-£15m for them to release the Ghana international to the English Preimer League side.
Fulham boss Martin Jol has acknowledged his interest in the strong enforcer who completed a medical for the English club earlier this month.
Boateng has already undergone a medical at Fulham, who have secured a work permit for him and are in talks with Dnipro.
As Boateng completed the medical and secured the work permit last week. it was thought the move would be completed within hours.
But seven days later there has been no movement in the transfer because of the huge amounts of money demanded by Dnipro.
“There is no movement there,” Jol said when asked about his quest to sign the Ghana international midfielder from the Ukrainian side.
“I am not frustrated because of the reasons you think.
“Of course there are a lot of players that would probably make us stronger and we are not like Real Madrid, you know.
“We cannot offer £10million or £15million and get the players on the board.
It is almost impossible so we have to not only be inventive, you need a bit of luck as well. That is probably the case now.”
Jol’s interest in the 29-year-old is long established, with the Fulham manager having come close to securing the defensive midfielder on loan last summer.
Boateng enjoyed spells in Greece, Sweden, Israel and Spain before moving to Ukraine.

I could tell this on forehand. Derek has been linked to Fulham for years now, and in the end always something pops up preventing the actual move. Hope they can sort this out, cause it would be a pity for him to stay there in ukraine for the rest of his career.
