Bob Bradley is set to be named coach of Norwegian club Stabaek as he looks to repair his reputation which took a massive hit in the 2014 World Cup playoffs against Ghana.
The American trainerââ¬â¢s two-year contract with Egypt was not renewed after failing to lead the side to World Cup qualification.
The Pharaohsââ¬â¢ fine run in the qualifiers came to a crashing halt in a shocking 6-1 defeat to Ghana on the first leg of the ultimate qualifier.
And even though they beat the Black Stars 2-1 in the return encounter in Cairo, the damage had already been done to end yet another dream of World Cup qualification for Egypt.
Bradley is however set for another challenge with his imminent appointment as coach of Stabaek.
The ex USA coach will be the first American to take up a coaching post with an European club.
It presents a fine opportunity for the 55-year-old to win back some pride which was brutally massacred by the Black Stars at the tail end of the World Cup qualifiers.
Stabaek are expected to unveil Bradley at a planned press conference on Friday â⬓ giving the American yet another opportunity in his coaching profession.
