Kwesi Appiah is determined to squeeze every ounce of entitlements due him following his sacking as coach of Ghana.
According one of his close confidantes - Charles Kwadwo Ntim [Micky Charles] - the 54-year-old will not settle for anything less than what is due him per the terms of his contract.
Appiah's sacking as coach of the Black Stars was confirmed by the Ghana FA on Friday.
The association claims the decision to relieve the ex Ghana captain of his services was reached 'mutually'.
But this has been contested by the camp of Appiah who say the departing trainer will insist on his rights during discussions over his severance package.
"The Ghana FA's statement that Kwesi Appiah mutually agreed to the termination of his contract is not the case at all," Ntim told GHANAsoccernet.com.
"The fact of the matter is that the contract was unilaterally with the GFA as one party terminated and therefore the coach is only waiting to be given what is due him per the terms of his contest.
"The coach will not settle for anything less than what is rightfully due him. There will be no talks of a settlement.
"I am sure the GFA considered all these things before reaching the decision and therefore I am sure they are ready to deal with the consequences which in our case is the full payment of the compensation due Kwesi Appiah."
The Ghana FA meanwhile say they expect to pay Kwesi Appiah not more than $150,000 which represents three months of his salary.
Appiah signed a new two-year contract with the Ghana FA to continue his role as coach of the Black Stars before taking the side to the 2014 World Cup.
And despite initial statement of confidence in the coach by high ranking officials of the Ghana FA, Appiah was sacked just within 24 hours of winning a vital 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo.
Lawyers of both Kwesi Appiah and the Ghana FA are to meet next week to iron out the fine details pertaining to the termination of Appiah's appointment.
Kwadwo Ntim adds that though the coach is disappointed with how he found out of his dismissal before being told by the Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi, he is pretty much taking his sacking in his stride.
"The coach was readily accessible to officials of the Ghana FA but yet still he had to read about his dismissal in the press before he was told by the GFA President. That can never be proper," he adds.
"But then the coach from the moment of taking over knew he will not be coach of the Black Stars forever and therefore he was very much prepared for it. He is already getting along with his life."
