Clublessà midfielder Laryea Kingston is still determined to play for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup even if it's for just five minutes.
The 33-year-old who is currently unattached to a club refuses to give in to talks his career has come to an end.
The ex Heart of Midlothian midfielder was once an integral member of the Black Stars â⬓ forming a feared midfield partnership with Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari.
Kingston missed an opportunity to play at the 2006 World Cup due to a ban haven helped the Black Stars throughout the qualification series.
He was again dropped from the final squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The former Lokomotiv Moscow man fees his career is never fulfilled by the deficit of not playing in footballââ¬â¢s biggest event and now wants to give everything to realise his dream even if it last the shortest possible time.
ââ¬ÅPersonally I have my target in football, trust me, if I had played in the World Cup before, I wouldnââ¬â¢t even think about playing again for the national team,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅBut I feel in my career that is the only thing I need to complete my CV.
ââ¬ÅSo it is something that really worries me, I have to be very honest.
ââ¬ÅI was a key player in the national team. I helped the team throughout two World Cup qualifiers.
ââ¬ÅBut I have never gotten the opportunity to play there and that is why I am so determined to make it there.
ââ¬ÅI am still active; I am still playing so if I get the opportunity to play for the national team again, why not.
ââ¬ÅIt is the dream of every player to be in the national team and everyone knows I have given a lot to the national team but have never played at the World Cup.
ââ¬ÅSo if I get the opportunity again, why not. Even just five minutes at the World Cup will do.
ââ¬ÅEven being with the squad for the World Cup, if even it is for just five minutes, I will be a complete man.ââ¬
