Zesco United defender Bernard Mapili is confident the side can overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit to Medeama in the CAF Confederation Cup return leg this weekend.

Goals from Nathaniel Asamoah and Michael Helegbe gave Carlos Roberto Paullete’s side the advantage ahead of Sunday’s second-leg at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola.

However, Mapili is confident they can turn the tie around.

“We started the game on a high note even the first goal from Medeama did not stop us but a number of factors disturbed our game and hence slowly our temple changed,” he said.

“We have to go into the return encounter believing we can progress further in this competition.

“I am confident we can turn the scale around and qualify to the next stage.”

Meanwhile Medeama arrived in Ndola on Thursday morning ahead of Sunday’s showdown.
